I’m Ellie, a translator by trade and a crafter at heart. From Northumberland, I moved to Farnham in 2007 to begin my career; over a decade later, I am now a freelance linguist, mother of two, and in 2020 I established elliemakesuk selling my polymer clay craft.
In 2013 I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease, and I find crafting therapeutic and cathartic. Keeping my hands and mind active is so important, and I love seeing what can be made from a simple block of clay.

My Creations...

I like to experiment with blends of clay, powders, foils, paint and textures. The results can be unexpectedly beautiful. My earrings range from hoops with clay components in various colours and patterns, to statement dangles and smaller, subtle studs. My bookmarks can be personalised, and I also make keyrings and lanyards. Custom orders are also welcome, with varying turnaround times based on the spec. All items listed in my Etsy shop are posted within 1-2 working days.
